This assignment will help you identify software requirements and needs you might have for your online course. You will also practice researching software sites, pricing, and tutorials to prepare you for your coursework.

Assignment Details

Perform the following tasks:

Step 1: Write a 1-page (250 word) paper. 
Using a word processor (such as MS Word), write the software requirements listed for your course. Identify any additional software that you think will be helpful.

Step 2: Conduct online research.
Using the list of software requirements in Step 1, research the following:

• Find the website for each software manufacturer, and note the URLs.
• List the estimated cost of each software package on the list and where you plan to purchase each one (if purchasing is necessary). Look for discounts offered to students as well as sales. Your institution may also offer a discount on required software programs. Try chatting with a few of your classmates to see where they plan to shop.
• Find sites that offer tutorials for each software package on your list so you have resources ready when needed. Make a note of each site, along with the resources it provides and the URLs to those resources.

Step 3: Compile your findings from Step 1 and Step 2: 
Complete your one-page paper, including your findings from steps 1 and 2, and prepare your final review.
