Assignment Overview
This assignment will help you identify the components of a quality response as it applies to an online threaded discussion, and to create a 'quality checklist' that you can use to critique your own discussion responses in the future.

Deliverables

  • A "quality checklist" written in a word processor (such as MS Word) and a 1-page (250 word) paper that outlines software requirements and resources.

Assignment Details

Perform the following tasks:

Step 1: Download the Quality Checklist template.

Step 2: Conduct a review of several discussion responses that you and your classmates have posted to the discussion area to date in this course. 
As you review several discussion responses, consider the following:
  • What responses seemed more effective to you, and why?
  • What responses do you believe were clear when you read them for the first time?
  • What responses seemed unclear?
Step 3: Compile your findings in Step 2. 
Using a word processor (such as MS Word), complete the template by listing at least five characteristics or components that you will include in your future discussion responses to ensure an effective and quality posting.

Step 4: Save and submit your assignment.
Once you have completed the assignment, save a copy for yourself in an easily accessible place. Submit your answer by clicking the submit button below.
