Critical Thinking for Blood Bank
This course is intended for CLS that have completed a Blood Bank Basics or Blood Bank Intermediate course. The class will focus on developing skills to:
- Evaluate challenging situations in blood bank that require problem solving skills
- Require the need to gather data, information by asking significant question
- Reach conclusions, and best options to guide their actions
Scenarios of commonly encountered situations will be presented for problem solving, such as antibody problems, emergency release, massive transfusion, inconclusive or indeterminate test results that require action be taken.
