Wow, this case was so fascinating! The picture of the fetus really showed how intricate early development is for all other parts of the body to have formed correctly, but the pelvis and lower extremities to be duplicated twice! Do you think that could be caused from a mesodermic malformation or anomaly present even before the 4th and 5th week of gestation when limb development occurs? When they say multiple pelvises were present but no organ duplication, does that just mean that the pelvic bone was duplicated then?

I have so many questions and possibilities of what could have happened here, but it seems that even experts in this have not come to the same conclusions. Thanks for the case and reminding us to think outside the box while scanning because we may have a patient some day that doesn't fit in that box!
